I have a question.

There are over a thousand different God beliefs and religions.

How does anyone 'know' that their God and religion is the real true God and
all the others are fakes?

If there is a 'real' God why does he permit millions of people to be mislead
and confused by all these false Gods?

Christers have got round that particular dilemma by telling
us their claimed god (whatever that is) is testing their faith by not
revealing himself.

Pure and absolute faith is to believe absolutely this god exist
knowing their is not a shred of evidence to justify such a belief.

The problem here is if this claimed god never revealed itself how did
they discover it existed in the first place rather than just dream it
up through a creative imagination?

The best defence of this that they seem to have is to offer is an
ancient book that tells us it was inspired by this god and only a fool
would reject it. As this is proof it was inspired by god it follows
that this god exists. A perfect Holy circular argument
and perfect bunkum straight out of Alice Through The
Looking Glass.

And one that is so chock-full of blatant contradictions that their god
must be illiterate and have an IQ of less than 25, quite apart from
being an indiscriminate genocidal maniac.

They don't - they have faith that their god is real.
I have no idea if they believe that the other gods are "fakes".
I have already explained half a dozen times why i think "fakes" is the
wrong wrong word/concept here.

All created at various times by many cultures who made them in their own
images of what a god or gods should be like.

If a god doesn't exist, it can't permit or prevent anything.

There are as many gods as there are people who believe in them. God is
the result of a random mutation that manifested in a species of ape
the ability to imagine such things, mostly as a side effect of their
survival adaptations of intelligence, self awareness and abstract
thought. Some of us are more susceptible to this side effect than
others and become mired in it and are forever detoured by it. Others
of us are able to recognize what it is and move on.

There are no "false gods" ,all gods are real, as they represent real
values. You are free to choose your values and the god or devil who
represents the ideal of that value. Atheists choose disbelief as being
central to their philosophy of life.

Gods represent value systems, as to what is good and what is evil. You

Fine. The gods you make up in your head represent things. I think
that's covered under abstract thought...You are certainly free to
believe whatever you like. I'd rather not devote any intellectual
resources to believing what you've clearly made up. I've got my hands
full with reality and if I ever find the time for a nice myth, I'll
make up my own, thanks.

How can you say that when I just explained to you, that gods represent
abstract behavioural ideals. These are NOT "things". Atheist materialists
believe only in concrete "things".

Which "fairy tale" do you prefer? Much of every belief system is a myth.
Do you think an empty head is preferable? See below some of the principles
Christ preached and lived up to till atheists killed Him for it.

CHRIST'S COMMANDMENTS ALL EXHORT US TO LOVE
Jesus in Jn:13:34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one
another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Jesus in Jn:13:35: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,
if ye have love one to another.
Jesus in Jn:15:12-13: This is my commandment: That ye love one another,
as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down
his life for his friends.
Jesus in John 14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command..."
Jesus in John 14:21-24 "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is
the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too
will love him and show myself to him. He who does not love me will not obey
my teaching.
These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent
me."
Jesus in Mt:7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never
knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it
is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight
in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 John 4:7-13 (KJV) "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of
God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that
loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the
love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into
the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we
loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for
our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth
in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in
him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit."
1Jn:4:8: He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for GOD IS LOVE.
1Jn:4:16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.
GOD IS LOVE; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Try to reference your assertions Biblically, so we all can see whether
you are correct. It's not just "your opinions", but the opinion of Paul. See
below refs.

Pastor Frank

The word "God" is not a proper name but a title of a position of
whatever is of highest importance in our lives. I.e. In 2 Corinthians 4:4,
Paul says that Satan is: "...the god (theos) of this world." And again in
Philippians 3:19, Paul says there are people: "...whose God (theos) is their
belly". Jesus tells us in Jn:4:24 that His "GOD IS A SPIRIT, and they that
worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
Jesus explains further in John 14:6-10: Jesus saith unto him: "I am the
way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If
ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also, and from henceforth YE
KNOW HIM AND HAVE SEEN HIM."

There are millions and millions of paths to God.

It is up to the individual to choose.

Do not worry about choosing a false God; you should know in your heart
that the God you have chosen is true God.

Be true to yourself.
