There are over a thousand different God beliefs and religions.
How does anyone 'know' that their God and religion is the real true God and
all the others are fakes?
If there is a 'real' God why does he permit millions of people to be mislead
and confused by all these false Gods?
There are no "false gods" ,all gods are real, as they represent real
values. You are free to choose your values and the god or devil who
represents the ideal of that value. Atheists choose disbelief as being
central to their philosophy of life.

the result of a random mutation that manifested in a species of ape
the ability to imagine such things, mostly as a side effect of their
survival adaptations of intelligence, self awareness and abstract
thought. Some of us are more susceptible to this side effect than
others and become mired in it and are forever detoured by it. Others
of us are able to recognize what it is and move on.
Gods represent value systems, as to what is good and what is evil.
Fine. The gods you make up in your head represent things.
How can you say that when I just explained to you, that gods represent
abstract behavioural ideals. These are NOT "things". Atheist materialists
believe only in concrete "things".

that's covered under abstract thought...You are certainly free to
believe whatever you like. I'd rather not devote any intellectual
resources to believing what you've clearly made up. I've got my hands
full with reality and if I ever find the time for a nice myth, I'll
make up my own, thanks.
Philosophy to hard for you? Don't you have a philosophy of life, which
includes behavioural ideals you aim to live up to? Most people do, you know!

that?
Which "fairy tale" do you prefer? Much of every belief system is a myth.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it

in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
